Classic - Yellow Castle Knight Red Cavalry

The red-cavalry knight comes from the formative Yellow Castle period, when LEGO's newly articulated minifigure was only beginning to populate themed worlds. Its design is almost diagrammatic by modern standards—basic smile, simple torso, medieval headgear, and faction-like color cues—but that economy is historically important. LEGO had discovered that a few interchangeable accessories could turn the same human form into a knight, astronaut, police officer, or pirate. This figure represents the beginning of the modular character system that would become central to LEGO storytelling.
