Mummy - NON-Glow In Dark Pattern

At first glance this mummy is simply a wrapped monster from 2012's Monster Fighters, but the catalog distinction matters: this is the version without the glow-in-the-dark printed pattern found on its close relative. Variants like this reveal how collectors experience LEGO differently from children. Two figures that played the same role can become distinct historical objects because of a material or printing change. The mummy itself draws on a century of pop-culture Egyptomania and classic monster cinema, while the non-glowing decoration makes this particular example a small study in LEGO production variation.
