The Series 25 Sprinter is one of the most significant examples of disability representation in the Collectible Minifigure line. Instead of hiding prosthetics or treating them as a limitation, the design makes two running blades central to an elite athlete’s silhouette. The race bib, medal, and competitive expression frame the character around achievement rather than medical difference. Released in 2024, the figure reflects LEGO’s broader movement toward representing more kinds of bodies and lived experiences in ordinary play. It is also a strong piece of industrial design: familiar minifigure hips transition into specialized prosthetic legs while preserving the system’s unmistakable scale and articulation.
