Marty McFly - Red Puffer Vest over Sand Blue Jacket, Blue Arms

Marty McFly’s red puffer vest is one of cinema’s most recognizable pieces of everyday clothing, memorable enough that 1955 characters mistake it for a life preserver. Paired with the DeLorean, it instantly places him inside Back to the Future’s collision of 1980s teenage life and 1950s nostalgia. Bringing Marty into Speed Champions is especially clever because the line normally celebrates cars as engineering and racing icons; the DeLorean is famous for what it becomes rather than how fast it races. The minifigure therefore turns a vehicle collection into narrative cinema. One small red vest is enough to transform a stainless-steel sports car into a time machine.
