Zombie

This Zombie was one of the standout characters in 2010's inaugural Collectible Minifigures series. LEGO had made ghosts, skeletons, and monsters before, but the gray-green skin, torn suit, hollow expression, and shambling horror-comedy aesthetic felt unusually character-specific for the time. Because Series 1 figures were sold as surprises in sealed packets, the Zombie also became part of a new kind of LEGO collecting built around hunting individual characters. Its enduring popularity helped establish that strange, spooky, and highly stylized figures could thrive outside a conventional play theme.
