This 1990 knight shows how dramatically LEGO Castle had evolved in barely a decade. The early tournament figures relied on a helmet and a few colors; this warrior layers molded breastplate armor, a dark helmet and visor, neck protection, and a tall three-feather plume. The result is theatrical, almost ceremonial armor rendered entirely through interchangeable minifigure elements. It demonstrates a core strength of the system: LEGO could increase visual richness without abandoning compatibility. A knight could be rebuilt, recolored, promoted, disguised, or reassigned simply by changing the parts worn around the same standard body.
