Police - Zipper with Badge, Black Legs, White Classic Helmet

The zipper-and-badge police torso shows how quickly LEGO began refining occupational identity after the minifigure's 1978 debut. With only a few printed lines and a white helmet, the figure is instantly readable as law enforcement, yet remains generic enough to become any officer a child imagines. That balance—specific role, undefined person—was fundamental to Classic Town. Before individualized faces and named characters became common, LEGO cities were populated by archetypes, allowing the same handful of parts to support an almost unlimited number of stories.
