LEGOLAND - Blue Torso, Blue Legs, White Hat, Life Preserver Sticker

This 1976 figure belongs to the short evolutionary step between LEGO's blocky human figures and the modern minifigure introduced in 1978. These early 'stage extra' people had the familiar cylindrical head but solid torsos, fixed arms, and no printed facial features. Identity had to come from color, hats, and accessories—here, a stickered life preserver turns an otherwise abstract blue figure into a sailor or harbor worker. Because the life preserver is a sticker rather than permanent printing, this piece also preserves the more fragile decorating techniques of 1970s LEGO production.
