LEGOLAND - Blue Torso, White Legs, Black Pigtails Hair

Before LEGO faces could smile, frown, wear glasses, or grow elaborate beards, a handful of pieces had to do all the storytelling. This 1975–76 LEGOLAND figure uses black pigtails, white legs, and a blue torso to establish a character despite having a completely blank head and immovable body. It belongs to the transitional generation immediately before the articulated 1978 minifigure. Seen today, the figure makes the later minifigure's brilliance obvious: the basic proportions were already emerging, but personality and poseability had not yet arrived.
