Statue - Gryffindor Knight with Visor

This armored statue stood in LEGO Hogwarts almost from the beginning. Released with the first-generation castle in 2001, it uses a monochrome gray knight to suggest the suits of armor and stone figures crowding the school’s corridors. That makes it a bridge between two LEGO traditions: classic Castle parts repurposed to establish the visual language of a brand-new licensed theme. More than two decades later, increasingly specialized Harry Potter elements make this early solution look charmingly direct. It shows how the original designers built cinematic atmosphere by borrowing from LEGO’s existing medieval vocabulary.
