Deadpool

The 2012 Deadpool is one of those minifigures whose collecting reputation grew far beyond the modest set in which it appeared. Red-and-black mask, printed utility gear, swords, and the character’s unmistakable costume arrived years before Deadpool became a dominant live-action film brand. Because LEGO has used the character sparingly, this early version became particularly sought after. It is also a strong example of comic art translating cleanly into minifigure geometry: Deadpool already looks like a graphic symbol, so the flat mask and bold color blocking survive reduction almost perfectly. The figure feels less like a simplified superhero than a comic panel made three-dimensional.
