Old Man Marley

Old Man Marley is one of Home Alone's most important reversals. Kevin initially accepts frightening neighborhood rumors about him, only to discover a lonely, kind man separated from his family. That shift gives the film emotional depth beneath the booby traps and slapstick. Including Marley in the LEGO Ideas set preserves that quieter story rather than reducing Home Alone to burglars and pratfalls. As a museum piece, he represents how mature licensed LEGO sets increasingly aim to recreate not just iconic costumes or vehicles, but the supporting characters and emotional beats that make a film memorable.
