Gellert Grindelwald

Gellert Grindelwald connects Harry Potter’s present to an earlier wizarding conflict. Once Albus Dumbledore’s brilliant friend and ideological partner, he pursued domination of non-magical people ‘for the greater good’ before becoming one of history’s most feared dark wizards. His appearance in the Fantastic Beasts era reframes Dumbledore’s biography and gives the wizarding world a major villain before Voldemort. LEGO’s figure therefore belongs to a different historical layer of the same mythology. It represents how the franchise expanded backward in time, turning references from the original books into characters, costumes, and entire new periods of design.
