Monkey D. Luffy - Stretched Arms, Open Mouth Grin

This Luffy figure attempts something the standard minifigure was never designed to do: stretch. His extraordinary rubber-like body is central to One Piece action, so elongated arm elements turn the character's fictional power into a physical change in LEGO anatomy. That makes the figure especially interesting from a design standpoint. Licensed minifigures increasingly rely on special pieces not merely to copy clothing, but to express movement and abilities that cannot be printed onto a torso. Luffy's arms transform a normally fixed proportion into a visual effect, bending the minifigure standard to fit the character.
