Young Garmadon is fascinating because he captures one of NINJAGO's defining villains before he fully becomes the figure audiences know. Dressed in a black master's tunic rather than monstrous armor, he stands beside the history of his brother Wu and their shared training. The design makes backstory visible: evil is not treated as a costume the character always wore, but as an outcome in a life that began differently.
