Salazar Slytherin

Salazar Slytherin is one of Hogwarts' four founders and the source of one of the series' longest shadows. His belief that magical education should be restricted to pure-blood families created the ideological fracture that eventually separated him from the other founders, while the Chamber of Secrets preserved his influence centuries later. As a minifigure, Slytherin represents more than a house mascot: he embodies the way Harry Potter's present is haunted by arguments inherited from its past. LEGO's founders make that deep fictional history tangible in a format usually associated with the saga's contemporary characters.
