Beekeeper

The Beekeeper turns one of humanity’s oldest forms of managed agriculture into a modern minifigure. Protective veil, suit, smoker or honey-related accessories, and the accompanying bee imagery communicate an occupation built around working with rather than simply controlling another species. Released in 2021, the figure also arrived during growing public awareness of pollinator decline and the ecological importance of bees. LEGO does not need to make that message explicit for the association to matter. On a museum shelf, the Beekeeper sits at the intersection of profession, food production, ecology, and the Collectible Minifigure line’s talent for making overlooked real-world work visible.
