Robot T. rex

A robotic Tyrannosaurus rex is exactly the kind of idea the Collectible Minifigures line exists to make possible: too specific, too strange, and too delightful to need an entire theme around it. The figure combines two enduring childhood fascinations—dinosaurs and robots—into a single costume-like character, turning natural history into retro-futurist machinery. Released in 2026's Series 29, it also shows how far minifigure silhouettes have evolved. What began in 1978 as a deliberately simple human form can now be buried inside elaborate molded shapes and still remain recognizably LEGO.
