Zombie Chef

The Zombie Chef is a perfect example of LEGO humor built from collision: take one of the most ordinary Town occupations and run it through a monster movie. A chef's uniform remains recognizable beneath the undead treatment, creating a character that is funny precisely because the everyday and the horrific occupy the same tiny body. Monster Fighters excelled at this kind of genre play, using familiar archetypes—mummies, vampires, werewolves, scientists, zombies—and exaggerating them without becoming gruesome. The result feels like a vintage creature feature filtered through LEGO's instinct for visual jokes.
