Hans Christian Andersen

Hans Christian Andersen turns the minifigure into a portrait of a real historical storyteller. The Danish author gave the world fairy tales including The Little Mermaid, The Ugly Duckling, The Emperor's New Clothes, and The Snow Queen—stories that have been translated, adapted, and reimagined across cultures for generations. His presence in LEGO form creates a particularly Danish intersection of literature and toy history: a nineteenth-century storyteller and a twentieth-century construction system from the same small country, both becoming global cultural exports. This figure represents the person behind stories that still shape children's imagination nearly two centuries later.
