Cotton Candy Vendor

A cotton-candy vendor is pure amusement-park world-building. The occupation is tiny, temporary, and tied to a very specific sensory memory: spun sugar, bright colors, queues, rides, and sticky hands. LEGO’s 2018 figure turns that fleeting experience into a permanent character, demonstrating how Town sets increasingly populate leisure spaces with the workers who make them function. The figure is also a good example of food as storytelling shorthand. Give a minifigure the right uniform and an oversized confection and an entire fairground appears around it in the imagination. Not every museum object needs to represent a hero; some preserve the background details that make invented places feel alive.
