Jim Halpert

Jim Halpert's defining prop may be invisible: the camera. Much of The Office's comedy depends on Jim looking toward the documentary crew—and therefore toward the audience—after something ridiculous happens. A static minifigure cannot reproduce that timing, so identity instead rests on the familiar hair, office clothes, and the Dunder Mifflin environment around him. In a LEGO Ideas display, Jim also embodies the show's love of workplace pranks, many of which feel like tiny acts of creative construction themselves. He is a character whose humor comes less from costume than from relationships, context, and reaction.
